Properties
Mixed to a paste, this cement provides a very suitable material for permanent root‑canal sealing and filling. To all intents and purposes, it fulfills practically every criteria as an ideal cement. It is non‑irritant, dimensionally stable, radiopaque and does not dissolve in the tissue fluids. Moreover it adapts well to the canal, is easy to shape and to remove
Cautions
> This cement is manufactured according to Rickert's formula with no precipitated Silver This avoids any risk of staining the teeth but, on the other hand, it also reduces the antiseptic action of the paste
> Avoid contact with composites
Indications
> Permanent filling of the root‑canal
> Sealer used with all types of endodontic points
(Gutta‑Percha, Acrylic, Silver, Titanium)
Directions for use
> Spatulate the liquid and the powder to obtain a paste of creamy constistency
> Clean the root‑canal and air‑dry thoroughly
> Work the paste into the canal with a probe or a rotary paste filler
> Avoid air pockets and extrusion beyond the apex
> Setting time : approximately 60 minutes
